About Henk

Henk Pool is a classically trained Composer / Songwriter / Producer from the Netherlands. Multi-Platinum & Gold success in the USA. Songs of Henk have been cut by Avalon (Testify to Love, DOVE PopSong of the Year & ASCAP Awards, 6 weeks #1 USA CCM charts, First Love, on ‘A Different Light’), Wynonna (soundtrack ‘Touched by an Angel’), Kelly Minter, Margaret Becker, Laura Fygi, LA the Voices, Kim-Lian van der Meij, Romanz (SA), Michael & Carrie Hodge, Petra Berger (charts Mexico, Turkey), and many others. Multi-platinum in the Benelux for his song ‘Als alle lichten zijn gedoofd’, sung by Dutch #1 singer Marco Borsato (more than 750,000 copies sold in the Benelux alone).

Henk has had many songs cut in Holland and Europe, with artists like Pearl Jozefzoon, Belle Perez, Kees Kraayenoord, Marie-Eve Janvier (Mercury France/Canada), Amy, Lisa & Shelley, Hansen Tomas, Sita, Willeke Alberti, Chris Eaton (UK), Marie-Eve Janvier (Canada, France) amo. Had two songs in the US film ‘A Foreign Affair’ with Tim Blake Nelson & David Arquette. In 2008 Henk composed the orchestral score for ‘The Roymann Closure’, with Robert David Hall (CSI). The music was recorded in Prague, with the ‘City of Prague Philharmonic’.Henk wrote all the music for the internationally acclaimed animation production ‘Frog & Friends’.

Recently Henk co-wrote the title track for the very successful film 'Achtste Groepers Huilen Niet' ('Cool Kids Don't Cry'), and he wrote the score for the short film 'Letter', which received a couple of awards during the Netherlands Film Festival in 2012. Recently Henk put his first steps in the field of Music for Games, composing and producing for ISioux Game Cy. Henk is working from his home base Artica Productions Studio in the city of Leeuwarden, in the North of the Netherlands, where he has a fully equipped Protools /Logic Studio. Apart from that Henk operates a studio in Baarn, the Netherlands, close to the heart of Media Activity in the Netherlands.
